Ingredients
  

For the ice cream base

  • 2 ripe bananas 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups 2 cups heavy cream Use real cream for maximum flavor.
  • 1 cup 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers Add last few minutes of churning.
  • 1 pinch Pinch of salt

Preparation

  • In a blender, combine bananas, heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for 1-2 hours until well chilled.
  • Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • During the last few minutes of churning, add the crushed vanilla wafers.
  • Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Enhance flavor with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg. Customize with other fruits or serve with whipped cream or chocolate syrup.
