Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients and slicing the flank steak into thin strips. Prepare the broccoli florets by rinsing them under cold water.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and corn starch. Set it aside.

Cooking

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until browned and just cooked through.
  • Add the grated ginger and garlic to the skillet. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Introduce the broccoli florets to the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and just tender.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and broccoli. Stir well to coat everything evenly and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Serving

  • Remove from heat and garnish with optional sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes
