Ingredients
  

For the Potatoes

  • 2 pounds Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes Cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Extra virgin preferred, ensure potatoes are coated evenly
  • 1 packet Ranch seasoning Adjust for preference
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Add to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper Freshly ground preferred

For the Topping

  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese Grated just before use for freshness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash and cut your potatoes into equal-sized pieces, about 1-inch cubes.
  • In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper until they are well coated.

Cooking

  • Spread the seasoned potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
  • After 25 minutes, remove from the oven and sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Return to the oven for another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra kick, add a sprinkle of paprika or cayenne pepper. Customize with toppings like bacon bits or green onions.
