Brownie Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Topping

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries Hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup chocolate chips For ganache
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For ganache

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Beat in flour, cocoa, and salt until just combined, then pour the batter into the prepared pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.

Topping

  • In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream until just boiling. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  • Pour the chocolate ganache over the cooled brownies, spreading evenly.
  • Top with sliced strawberries and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality chocolate chips for a richer ganache. Consider serving with vanilla ice cream for a delightful pairing.
