Ingredients
  

Main Protein

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each) Pounded to an even thickness for even cooking.

Seasoning/Spice Blend

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adjust salt depending on other seasonings used.

Liquids/Dairy

  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lower calorie option, substitute with half-and-half or dairy-free alternative.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Used for deglazing skillet.

Aromatics & Vegetables

  • 4 cloves minced garlic Provides savory flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme Dried herbs can be used at a third of the amount.

Optional Finishing Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese For a dairy-free version, use nutritional yeast.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and unsalted butter over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Sear the seasoned chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and cover loosely with foil to keep warm.
  • Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  • Pour in chicken broth, scraping up brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan until fully combined, allowing to simmer gently for 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in fresh herbs and return the chicken to the skillet, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding lemon juice or your favorite vegetables. Store leftovers in airtight containers. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
