Pizza Base

  • 1 package crescent roll dough

Filling

  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with chicken or turkey.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning Follow package instructions.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Toppings

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • to taste sour cream For topping.
  • to taste olives Optional garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add taco seasoning to the beef and stir according to package instructions, usually adding some water.
  • Roll out the crescent roll dough onto a baking sheet, pinching seams to form a crust.
  • Spread the seasoned beef evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Serving

  • Top with diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and a dollop of sour cream.
  • Garnish with olives if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can freeze before baking and cook directly from frozen, adding extra time.
