  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Can substitute with vegan butter.

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Feel free to use different cheeses.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley For garnish.
  • Salt to taste Adjust based on preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Wash the potatoes and pat them dry. Cut thin slices along each potato, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  • Place the sliced potatoes on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  • Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over each potato, ensuring it gets into all the grooves.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the potatoes.
  • Bake in the oven for 45 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Once done, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, incorporate paprika or chili flakes into the garlic butter mixture. These can be made ahead, but baking fresh yields the best texture. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
