Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Chop the dark chocolate and milk chocolate into small, even pieces.
  • Prepare any add-ins like dried fruit, nuts, or coconut flakes by chopping or crushing them.

Melting

  • Use a double boiler or microwave to melt the chocolate carefully.
  • For the double boiler, place chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water and stir occasionally.
  • For microwave, heat in 20-second intervals, stirring in between.

Mixing

  • Once melted, gently fold in the coconut flakes, crushed nuts, and any optional spices or sweeteners.

Setting

  • Pour the chocolate mixture into a mold or onto a parchment-lined baking tray and tap to remove air bubbles.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set.

Cutting and Storing

  • Remove from mold or tray and cut into bars.
  • Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to two weeks.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for the best texture. Consider tempering the chocolate for a glossy finish. Customize with various nuts or spices to suit your taste.
