  • 2 cups bread cubes (preferably stale)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Butter (for greasing the muffin tin)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin with butter.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Add the bread cubes to the egg mixture and gently mix until all the bread is soaked.
  • Spoon the mixture into the greased muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.

Baking

  • Bake for 25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Cooling

  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin.

Notes

Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar and pair with maple syrup, fresh berries, or whipped cream. Customize with your favorite add-ins like chocolate chips or nuts. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
