  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt For a creamy base rich in protein; alternatives include non-dairy yogurt.
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter Choose without added sugars or oils; almond butter can be used as an alternative.
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Use to sweeten; agave syrup is a great substitute.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor; almond extract can also be used.
  • 1 pinch sea salt Enhances flavors; Himalayan pink salt is a good alternative.

Optional Ingredients

  • to taste chocolate chips or melted dark chocolate Adds sweetness; crushed nuts or shredded coconut can serve as toppings.

Preparation

  • Mix together the Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey, vanilla extract, and sea salt in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  • Line a muffin tin with small paper liners or use a silicone mold.
  • Spoon the mixture into the molds, filling them about three-quarters full.
  • If using, melt chocolate and drizzle it over the filled molds.
  • Freeze the mixture for 1-2 hours or until solid.
  • Remove the bites from the molds and enjoy immediately or store for later.

Notes

For a fun twist, try folding in crushed nuts or seeds, or experiment with different nut butters.
