Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  • Melt 1/2 cup of butter in a medium saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of sugar, followed by 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, mix 1/3 cup of cocoa powder, 1/2 cup of flour, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until combined without overmixing.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.

Notes
