Ingredients
  

For the Ice Cream Base

  • 1.5 cups strawberries, hulled and diced Fresh strawberries are recommended.
  • 2 Tbsp honey Natural sweetener for flavor.
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 tsp lemon juice Enhances strawberry flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream For a rich and creamy texture.
  • 0.5 cup half and half Adds creaminess.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract For extra flavor.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix strawberries, honey, sugar, and lemon juice. Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes until the strawberries release their juices.
  • Mash the mixture until no large strawberry pieces remain.
  • Mix in heavy cream, half and half, and vanilla extract until combined.

Churning

  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions for 15-20 minutes.
  • For a thicker texture, freeze in an airtight container for 3-4 hours.
  • Allow to sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve in bowls or cones. Top with fresh strawberries or chocolate syrup. Customize by adding mix-ins.
