  • 12 ounces green beans, trimmed

Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder or cornstarch For coating chicken

  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Sauce Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup chicken broth For honey garlic sauce
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce For honey garlic sauce
  • 0.25 cup honey For honey garlic sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced For honey garlic sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon grated ginger Or 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger for honey garlic sauce
  • 2 teaspoons arrowroot powder or cornstarch For honey garlic sauce thickener
  • 2 teaspoons water For sauce thickener

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken pieces with arrowroot powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

Cooking Chicken

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Cooking Green Beans

  • In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and toss in the green beans. Sauté for about 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.

Making Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and arrowroot powder until smooth.

Combining Ingredients

  • Return the chicken to the pan with the green beans and pour in the sauce. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Sprinkle the chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top before serving.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, try marinating the chicken for an hour before cooking. Customize the vegetables by adding bell peppers, snap peas, or carrots to the mix. Serve with a sprinkle of chili flakes for a spicy kick.
