  • 1 pound ground beef Brown it in a skillet over medium heat.
  • ½ cup salsa Use store-bought or homemade for freshness.
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Whip it thoroughly to blend smoothly with meat.
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter Spray lightly on filled tacos before baking.
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese Use as topping for a cheesy layer.
  • 12 6-inch tortillas Warm them in a skillet or microwave.

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef for 5-7 minutes until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning and let it cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the softened cream cheese, stirring until melted and combined for 3-4 minutes.
  • Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
  • Spoon the beef and cheese mixture onto each tortilla, then fold them in half.
  • Place the filled tacos on a baking sheet, spray lightly with melted butter, and sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese on top.

Cooking

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes
