  • 1 tsp fresh thyme (or ½ tsp dried)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Preparation

  • Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Stir in minced garlic and thyme; cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Mix in bowtie pasta and vegetable broth; bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes until pasta is al dente.
  • Gradually incorporate heavy cream, simmering for an additional 3-5 minutes until creamy.
  • Finally, add grated Gruyère cheese until melted, seasoning with salt and pepper.

Notes
