Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Look for shrimp that smell clean and ocean-like.
  • 1 pound crab meat, either canned or fresh Ensure all shells are removed for a smooth texture.

Liquids/Dairy

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Can be substituted with Greek yogurt for a tangy flavor.

Seasoning/Spice Blend

  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning Adjust according to taste preference.

Aromatics & Vegetables

  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped Use green parts for extra color.

Starch/Pasta

  • 8 pieces biscuits Store-bought or homemade, baked according to instructions.

Optional Finishing Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted Brushed on top for a golden crust.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the peeled shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 5 minutes.
  • In a bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, crab meat, mayonnaise, Old Bay seasoning, black pepper, and chopped green onions.
  • Arrange the biscuits on a baking sheet.

Assembly

  • Spoon the seafood mixture generously over each biscuit.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each biscuit and brush with melted butter.

Baking

  • Place the baking sheet in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

For added depth of flavor, consider adding a dash of hot sauce to the filling. Customize by including diced bell peppers or jalapeños.
