  • 8 oz spaghetti Cook al dente according to package instructions.
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (or turkey) Brown it in a skillet.
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 large eggs Beaten to bind the mixture.
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese For topping.
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese Sprinkle on top before baking.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning Add depth of flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning.

Aromatics

  • 1 medium onion Chopped.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Boil water in a large pot and add salt. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef or turkey and brown for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Pour in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into the skillet. Let it simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.
  • In a large bowl, combine drained spaghetti with the meat sauce mixture. Stir in beaten eggs.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased pie dish. Top with shredded mozzarella and sprinkle Parmesan evenly across the top.

Baking

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.

Notes

Add fresh herbs before serving for added flavor. Customize with vegetables like spinach or bell peppers if desired.
