  • 1 cup Cream Cheese Softened for easy blending.
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce Stores well.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese (shredded) Could substitute with other cheese.

Aromatics & Vegetables

  • 1 Onion (diced) Shallots can be used as a substitute.
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) Cook until fragrant.

Seasoning/Spice Blend

  • 1 tsp Hot Sauce (optional) Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (optional) Add for extra flavor.
  • 1 tsp Dried Italian Herbs Good quality enhances taste.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Season meat while cooking.

Optional Bindings

  • Eggs (for binding, optional) Helps in setting the pie.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water for about 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the diced onion and minced garlic into the meat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until onions are soft and fragrant.
  • In a large bowl, mix the cooked spaghetti, meat mixture, marinara sauce, ricotta, cream cheese, and Italian herbs. If using, add hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and eggs for binding.

Baking

  • Spread the spaghetti mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the assembled pie for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve cut into squares and warm, garnished with fresh herbs. Pair with a simple green salad for a balanced meal. Enjoy with a glass of red wine or sparkling soda.
