Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture

  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped (optional) Optional ingredient for added flavor.
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 8 oz Low-Moisture Mozzarella Cubes To be inserted inside meatballs.
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Parsley For garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a skillet, sauté the chopped spinach and minced garlic over medium heat until the spinach wilts. Set aside to cool.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground meat, sautéed spinach, chopped onion (if using), egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix everything together until well combined.
  • Form mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Insert a cube of mozzarella into the center of each meatball and mold the meat around it.

Cooking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned.
  • Serve hot with your favorite sauce or side.

Notes

Enhance flavor by adding more herbs or spices according to your taste. Customize by using ground chicken or veggie substitutes for different dietary needs. Serve with homemade marinara or garlic bread for an extra special touch.
