  • 1 cup strawberries, pureed Fresh strawberries work best.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Optional.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Mix in the strawberry puree.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor. Customize with additional toppings if desired.
