Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cups warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 0.25 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

For the Strawberry Cheesecake Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 0.25 cups strawberry jam

For the Cinnamon Sugar Mixture

  • 0.25 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.5 cups brown sugar
  • 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon

For the Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

Make the Dough

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix in warm milk, melted butter, and egg until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Prepare the Strawberry Cheesecake Filling

  • In another bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in the finely chopped strawberries and strawberry jam.

Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar Mixture

  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together. Set aside.

Assemble the Rolls

  • Roll the dough out into a large rectangle. Spread the strawberry cheesecake filling evenly across the surface, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
  • Roll the dough up tightly and slice it into equal pieces.

Bake the Rolls

  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Make the Cream Cheese Glaze

  • In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and creamy.

Glaze and Serve

  • Once the rolls are out of the oven, generously drizzle the cream cheese glaze on top while they’re still warm. Serve immediately!

Notes

Add a pinch of nutmeg for a warm spice kick. Enjoy with a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top for a decorative touch.
