  • 8 pieces egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked brisket, chopped
  • 1/2 cup jalapeños, diced For a spicier flavor, use more jalapeños.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped Add more for extra flavor if desired.
  • Oil for frying Choose a neutral oil with a high smoke point.
  • Honey for drizzling Use more or less to taste.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped brisket, diced jalapeños, and green onions.
  • Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner facing you.
  • Spoon a small amount of the cheese and brisket mixture into the center of the wrapper.
  • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the side corners and roll it up tightly.
  • Seal the edge with a little water, ensuring a secure wrap.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the egg rolls in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • Remove them and drain on paper towels before serving.
  • Drizzle honey on top just before serving for a sweet finish!

Notes

Add spices like smoked paprika to the filling for an extra flavor boost. Customize by using pulled pork or chicken instead of brisket.
