Ingredients
  

Main Protein

  • 1 lb Chicken thighs or breasts Use skinless and boneless for best texture.

Seasoning/Spice Blend

  • 1/4 cup Honey Use pure honey without additives.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Low-sodium soy sauce works well as an alternative.
  • 1 tbsp Salt To taste.
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper To taste.

Aromatics & Vegetables

  • 4 cloves Minced garlic Use fresh garlic for the best aroma.
  • 2 green onions Sliced for garnish Add just before serving.

Liquids/Dairy

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil Use extra virgin for richer flavor.

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Add chicken pieces to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Combine honey and soy sauce in a bowl, then pour it over the chicken, stirring well.
  • Let simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken in soy sauce and honey for 30 minutes before cooking. Customize with vegetables like bell peppers.
